  4. The author Madeleine L'engle used foreshadowing because she kept repeated the same details to get us predicting what will happen next. The clues that she gives us is when Mrs.Whatsit was talking about The Black Thing it all seemed much more clearer when she was explaining about him saying that "NOBODY wants to look at The Black Thing because it seems to upset them." It adds to the plot because it makes it seem much more excitable and much more interesting to the plot. :)

  7. Madeleine L'engle uses foreshadowing to describe how much Meg misses her father. For example in the beginning of the book (on page 30-32) Meg got sent to the principal's office for being rude to her teacher. L'engle gives us clues that Meg misses her father because when her principal had mentioned Mr.Murry because of Meg's behavior she threw a fit stating that her behavior has nothing to do with her father (even though it does).

  8. The author uses foreshadowing when she relates the foreshadowing to the conflict which is that Meg and Charles' father is gone. The clues are that father is fighting the black thing which is why he is gone. Also, how father is on a planet that has given in.It adds to the plot of the story because it is part of the conflict and the characters are trying to resolve it.

  10. We get suspense on what will happen next with father and the black thing. The author foreshadows when they say that the planet father is on gave up,So they are telling us that father is brave and strong. Also when Meg was acting up in school as readers would could tell something was wrong with Meg.

  11. Auther use foreshadowing by giving clues about how father is on a planet that has given in and so that makes me think father is brave, strong fighter. This adds to plot becuase it tells what might happen next it makes you think about whats going to happen

  13. She uses Foreshadowing by giving us specific details. Also the clues she uses is how her father is gone to this different planet, and how he went there. This is added to the plot of the story is how Meg's father is gone and they're trying to find him,in Uriel, and in Orion.

  14. The author uses foreshadowing by talking about the Father and where he is. Which is on the planet that has given in as Mrs.Whatsit said when Meg asked where her Father was. She gave us the clue that Meg is really worried about her Father being endangered on the planet that has given in on him. The Mrs.S 3 TOLD THE 3 children to make up their own planet and now that I understand i think one of those planets Meg's Father will be on. Charles Wallace named a list of artist, scientist, religious spokes people that could have fought the black thing that Meg's father had fought to try and get of the planet he is on. This adds to the plot of the the story because now we know that Meg's Father is alive and is fighting for his life so he can com e home again. Also that Charles,Calvin, and the Mrs.3 will find father and be okay.

  18. The author uses foreshadowing by always bringing up somethings father did, the tesseract, and father's battle/fight against the dark thing. This apply's to the plot of the book because it keeps you thinking what happened to father and why did he go missing
