I hope you all are enjoying your new AR books! By now you should be far enough into the story to know who your main character is and what conflict he or she is trying to overcome. Remember the conflict is the foundation to any good story and will drive the plot throughout the rest of your book. Answer the following questions and look for connections between your responses and your classmates'.
1. Who is your main character?
2. What conflict is your main character trying to overcome?
3. What steps do you think your main character might take to resolve the conflict?
What might you do in the same situation?
Your blog post needs to contain:
1. The answers to my questions
2. Specific evidence from the text
3. Complete sentences
4. Proper grammar and spelling
5. At least 5 sentences

My A.R. book is called "Divergent." The author of this book is Veronica Roth. My main character is Beatrice,(Don't know her last name) she is sixteen years old. The conflict she is having is that she wants to choose what faction she wants to go to. But, if she makes the wrong choice it could be very horrible for her. One the front cover it says, "One choice can transform you." So she has to make the right choice or she would be in the faction she doesn't like for her life. I think Beatrice would try to take others advice and may just go with the flow with everyone else, it could be worst. If I was in that situation, I would just try to see if I can change my faction, if I couldn't, oh well...

DeleteMy main character is Lionel Shephard,he is trying to make it to the NBA but his school work is stopping him from doing that,he might try working harder in school but drop out of school and go pro and i would study more on my test and do my homework.

DeleteMy new A.R. book title is What's Left Of Me "The Hybrid Chronicles" by Kat Zhang. The main characters of this story are; Eva, Addie, Lissa, Hally, Devon, and Ryan. The conflict is that Eva is paralyzed in the same body as her sister but no one knows that shes still there except for; Lissa, Hally, Devon, Ryan, and Addie. One day Hally invited Addie over and told her she knew that Eva was paralyzed and that she wasn't settled yet. She even told her that her and her brother weren't settled either. Eva and Addie decided to talk to Hally again knowing that her and her brother weren't settled either. When they went back to their house they drugged Addie and asked Eva to try and move. She tried with all her might she was even crying. Eventually Eva moved and everyone that knew her was proud of her instead of Addie.

DeleteMy main character is Katniss Everdeen. She is a girl that is trying not to have a bad lifestyle because oft the hunger games. The hunger games is about how the districts choose one girl and one boy to represent the district to fight til death. The conflict Katniss is facing is about volunteering for her sister Prim at the reaping. The reason Katniss volunteers is to keep her sister safe. Katniss' steps to success in the hunger games is to train and to not DIE! In this situation I would train just like Katniss to protect my family/ sister by volunteering and I would come out as the winner

DeleteMy main character is Marty. The conflict is that Marty finds a beagle and the beagle is following him. When Marty gets home his parents say that it might be Judd Travers dog. This is where the conflict comes in Judd Travers abuses his dogs and has alot of guns and smokes a lot. It would Marty's whole family to take Shiloh which is the beagle's name,from Judd Travers. I would have told the police that he was abusing his dogs and still would have taken Shiloh away from Judd and give the rest away to family's that will take good care of them.

ReplyDeleteMy story is called "What happened to goodbye". The main character in my book is Liz. She is trying to live a life with her parents that are divorced. Her mom is married to LIz and her dad's favorite defrise ball player. Liz's mother is now in a happy family with kids on the way. Her mom wanted Liz to live with her but she decided to stay with her father. Every since her parents got a divorce life hasnt been easy for Liz. All her friends back home miss her they send her texts about them missing her. Liz is trying to act like her parents arent even divorced. She trys to get it off her mind but she cant. I would do the same thing Liz is doing.
